How to check what Firmware version your modem or router is running:
MODEMS (no built-in wireless):
MB8600: Open your Internet browser. In the address field, type in: 192.168.100.1
Default login - username: admin, password: motorola (Click Login)
Click Advanced > Software > Software Version. This is your Firmware version.
MB7220/MB7420: Open your Internet browser. In the address field, type in: 192.168.100.1
Default login - username: admin, password: motorola (Click Login)
See “Software Version” at the bottom of the page. This is your Firmware version.
MODEMS with built-in wireless (Gateways):
MG7310, MG7315, MG7540, MG7550, MG7700
MT7711 (with phone port):
Open your Internet browser. In the address field, type in:
192.168.0.1
Default login - username: admin, password: motorola (Click Login)
See “Software Version” at the bottom of the page. This is your Firmware version.
DSL MODEM:
MD1600:
Open your Internet browser. In the address field, type in: 192.168.0.1 or setupmyrouter.net
Default login - username: admin, password: motorola (Click Login)
Click Status > Software Version. This is your Firmware version.
ROUTER:
MR1700:
Open your Internet browser. In the address field, type in: 192.168.1.1 or setupmyrouter.net
Default login - username: admin, password: motorola (Click Login)
Click Advanced > System Management > System Information. Scroll to “Software Version.” This is your Firmware version.
MR1900:
Open your Internet browser. In the address field, type in: 192.168.1.1 or setupmyrouter.net
Default login - username: admin, password: motorola (Click Sign in)
Click on Admin from the menu at the top.
This will bring you directly to the Firmware Upgrade page. The Current Firmware Version will be listed on the first line.
MR2600:
Open your Internet browser. In the address field, type in: 192.168.1.1 or setupmyrouter.net
Default login - username: admin, password: motorola (Click Sign in)
Click Basic Setup > Status > Firmware Version. This is your current Firmware version.
